Steen Trawick, M.D. is a native of Monroe, Louisiana, but has since moved to Shreveport. Dr. Trawick is on staff at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics as well as the Department of Allied Health. In addition to his staff responsibilities, he regularly hosts lectures for the physician assistant students.
Dr. Trawick is active in local and state medical politics; he serves as president of Shreveport Medical Society, a member of the Governor's advisory board for physician assistants, and a member of the Council on Legislation and Budget and Finance for the Louisiana State Medical Society. He is a former LSU Board of Supervisors and Louisiana State Board of Regents.
Dr. Trawick is an avid runner who has completed six marathons, the most recent a marathon and a half marathon at Walt Disney World. He is a Sunday school teacher at Summer Grove Baptist Church, a children's leader in Bible Study Fellowship and Cub Scout leader. He is married to Ronda and they have two children, Allison Grace and Graham. His interests are family-centered, including traveling, water sports, LSU football, cooking (and eating), scuba diving, snow skiing, flying, and of course running.
